When I was a kid my favorite thing to write was “My Life.” Every time I had a pencil and a piece of paper and some time to kill, I wanted to write my autobiography. At 30 years old, not much has changed. I’ve been journaling since I got a pink, locking diary in the third grade. Much of my private journaling is synonymous with prayer and meditation. What I choose to post here is what I’m comfortable putting on display.

After growing up in Four Square and Assemblies of God churches, I’m now a non-denominational, Free Believer Christian. I’m an INFJ for the Myers-Briggs fans out there. I’ve played the piano for as long as I’ve kept a journal. I’ve always been told I’m a natural leader, but I’d much rather follow someone I respect than lead for myself.

Born the second of four kids, my sister and I are sandwiched between our brothers who are 10 years apart. I married my hu’band in November 2011, just six months after he bulldozed his way out of the friend zone, and now we’re raising our tween goddaughters together!

I have a career in commercial real estate management, but I’ve worked in commercial printing, sign manufacturing, bookkeeping, and personal income tax preparation. I’m currently working on completing my bachelor’s degree in business management and building a business consulting firm. My goal is to have both completed by December 2016 and to start working  as a business consultant full time beginning in January.

In March 2015 I discovered Bullet Journal, and I’ve been hooked ever since!

I’m open and always honest, and I hope something here connects with you.

  1. Hi! Really like what you discuss on your blog Mrs. Spike! Really like how honest you are with your topics that you discuss! It’s the kind of blog in which I’m going to have to read all of your posts!! 🙂 I’m a Christian (Baptist) and with an INTJ personality. You got another follower!

If you want, I would love for you to check out my blog at whatiliketodobysteve.wordpress.com. I discuss many things both serious and fun. I’ve been getting into writing more about personality types as well.

    Best Wishes!

      1. Lol! Really??! “once proposed to by someone who read my whole blog.” Strange and creepy dude! *shakes head crazily* Isn’t that what Tinderella (dating website) is for? 😉 No worries or offense to you since you seem like a nice person but I’m not really into online dating or meeting someone online that could be a potential spouse. I have plenty of online friends that I met on wordpress but nothing more!

Congratulations on being married though! 🙂

      2. [True Story] He was in one of my classes. I posted a link to one of my posts on the class web page and he later introduced himself at school with, “I have a confession… I accidentally read everything on your blog.” Eight days and six dates later he proposed, ring in hand.
