Waning Hours

Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity… Do not misunderstand me. Danger is very real. But fear is a choice. – After Earth

Watched this epic movie with Will and Jaden Smith tonight. Now I’m mulling over the effects of fear on my life and the lives of others. That, and apparently I can’t get myself in bed until midnight these days. I have a few minutes left, so I might as well spend some time writing – the most therapeutic form of self-indulgence.

I re-read Hyperbole and a Half’s last post on depression again last night. That woman can seriously turn a phrase. She’s incredible. Hopefully depression won’t keep her away from the keys forever.

Oh, and I discovered Skillshare this week. Signed up for a future class on Flash Fiction. Have you ever heard of this? With my short attention span and the rapidly declining attention span of those around me, Flash Fiction might be the most awesome idea ever! I’ve played with vignettes in the past. Those are fun. Flash fiction requires a little more planning.

Okay, I’ve worn myself down. That’s enough of this.
